I've met a lot of friends through table top gaming. These friends had much more experience than I and owned far more games. I was exposed to hundreds of options. I really enjoy cooperative board games and dice allocation games. My best discovery has been Dungeons and Dragons. It has given me countless hours of joy and creativity and introduced me to new friends. RPGs became one of my passions because of it.
